The Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation reported the meeting on its official website on 23 April 2026, the day after Deputy Secretary-General T.R. Midhun received Murat Seitnepesov, President of GCA, in Beijing.
The two sides discussed cooperation between the Secretariat and GCA in trade and the economy, including logistics and finance, as well as innovation and digitalisation in the region. The SCO Secretariat summed up the meeting: "Mutual interest in further expanding cooperation was confirmed."
