Dubai, UAE: From 15 to 17 November 2023, the Greater Caspian Region (GCR) will be the focus of the annual Caspian Week Forum, which will be held in Dubai for the first time.
This year’s event is hosted by the Greater Caspian Association and Integral Group of Companies, in collaboration with DP World, and takes place at the Global Freight Summit. It will showcase logistics and trade synergy, digital technologies and the development of logistics corridors, highlighting the global importance of the Region’s opportunities and challenges.
It is a milestone: the Forum leaves its traditional venue in Davos, Switzerland, to extend its reach and impact. In partnership with DP World, the global smart supply chain logistics provider, the Caspian Week Forum 2023 aims to set new benchmarks for the GCR’s logistics and trade landscape.
The Forum usually focuses on dialogue and collaboration between the Greater Caspian Region and the world, and within the Region. This year it will continue that work with cutting-edge solutions to the GCR’s logistical challenges. The convergence of logistics corridors, trade integration and financial networks will take centre stage, helping to build a unified system that works across borders and simplifies cross-border operations.
With a clear focus on investment, collaboration and regional challenges, Caspian Week Forum 2023 is set to attract global players who see the untapped potential of the GCR. The platform will foster dialogue and strategy across business, economics, education, science and culture, keeping the Region connected to the global stage. Participants will have the chance to meet distinguished guests, including representatives of international organisations such as the United Nations, the International Chamber of Commerce and FIATA, as well as top government officials from countries in the Region, think tanks, academic institutions and business leaders. Their insights and solutions will help pave the way for the GCR’s accelerated development.
Murat Seitnepesov, Chairman of the Caspian Week Forum Organizing Committee, said: "We are delighted to partner with DP World for this joint event in Dubai. The GCR is very important for global energy and food security, and logistics connectivity is one of the key factors in the development of the region. This forum will undoubtedly become an excellent platform for discussing ideas and presenting projects important to the GCR, especially on the creation of integrated trade and logistics smart systems, inviting partners and attracting investments for the implementation of development projects in the region".
Mike Bhaskaran, COO of Digital Technology at DP World, emphasised: "We are thrilled to join hands with Caspian Week 2023 at this year's Global Freight Summit. The Greater Caspian Region holds immense potential, and we believe that by integrating logistics and trade while fostering collaboration between public and private sectors, we can overcome the challenges and unlock growth opportunities for all stakeholders involved."
