"International trade and logistics during pandemic: challenges and solutions" was a topic of high importance to discuss at ASAN Global Web Forum on 15 May,2020. Currently International trade and logistics are under stress. Quarantines create operational obstacles and limitations for port terminals, carriers and customs. Economic downturn poses pressure on profitability and liquidity of companies, credit risks augment. Increased medical needs require urgent delivery of protective gear, equipment and other cargoes. Azerbaijan is located in the heart of Eurasia, connecting East and West, South and North. The country ramps up its logistic capacity for advanced trade. New terminals, railroads and motorways, innovative customs procedures and other improvements make the country an attractive hub for international trade. This progress also involves efficient collaboration with international partners. The speakers discuss how these opportunities are used now and will assist in coping with pandemic.
