Art for Caspian auction
A charity art auction for causes in the region
About the initiative
Russian artist Sergey Dubroff, who works under the pseudonym JODU, donated four of his works to the Art for Caspian auction, to support charitable projects in the Caspian region. He created ten paintings for the exhibition at Caspian Week. Nine of them each represented a Caspian country: Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Iran and Tajikistan. The tenth showed the region’s rapid transformation. Every painting carried a QR code, a novelty in the art world, that linked to the website of its country. The evening also featured a tasting of Domaines Burnier wines, whose founders Marina and Renaud Burnier attended.
