Greater Caspian Foundation
A non-profit for the region's human capital and the Caspian environment
About the initiative
The Greater Caspian Foundation is a non-profit that aims to support the region by building its human capital. It also wants to close the digital divide between people in developed countries and those in the Greater Caspian states, and to improve the environment of the Caspian Sea basin, the planet’s largest land-locked body of water, in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. At its launch on 23 January 2019, it introduced two projects together with the United Nations Environment Programme’s Europe office in Geneva and the University of Leeds. Frederik Schlingemann moderated, and Mateusz Benko, Simon Goodman and Dmitry Kalinin spoke.
