New Technologies for trade, logistics for the Greater Caspian Region
Nowadays new technologies impact and develop all spheres of human life including business and trade relationships. But besides the simplification of logistics and cross-border procedures that the parties have to follow, new technologies can cause some problems.

Helen Teplitskaya, Adviser to the Chairman and CEO, Sberbank, Moscow, Russia states that banks have no alternative today, it is a matter of specialists' responsibility to do the best for their shareholders and continue to be socially responsible taking active part in charity and education. Helen claims that trade is a core of a corporate business of the company. Switzerland, being a commodity trading hub, has subsidiary bank of Sberbank which is focused on trade. Sberbank uses new technologies utilizing cutting edge technologies in every single aspect it touches such as drones, robotics etc. Helen thinks that technologies are the core, but without trust and human relations there will not be any trade.
Mohammad Saeed, Senior Adviser, International Trade Center, Geneva, Suisse works for the organization that helps private businesses become part of a global and regional unity. They help government to design and the clients to comply with cross-border procedures. Technologies impact the way we trade and the way of regulative compliance with challenges that are faced. Mohammad refers to 3 main challenges that we face regarding modern trade: 1) The major percentage of international trade is moving from containers to parcels 2) Spending time to comply to regulatory procedures. 3)International transportation has an impact on social and regulatory landscape. Now we need to embrace that the technologies are the way forward.
Ziyang Fan, Head of Digital Trade, World Economic Forum, USA speaks about technologies that are changing trade faster than rules and businesses can adapt to it. His work areas include Azerbaijan where they work on digital trade hubs and logistics. Speaking about trade, logistics and technologies Mr. Fan believes that once we can track containers everywhere, we need to deal with data generation with possible usage of artificial intelligence in logistics. Blockchain can solve the problem with papers as well.
Aamir Mir Saleem, COO, Caspian Container Company SA, Dubai, United Arab Emirates represents a company that tries to shift the conventional way of shipping in and out of Caspian Region. New technologies usage in Caspian region is especially important because it brings transparency and comes up with the world trade.
