Women's empowerment has become a significant topic of discussion in development and economics. The promotion of women leadership at decision making roles and women empowerment is not only a matter of social inclusion and diversity, it is also a matter of economic value. Numerous studies have found that companies with a more balanced representation of women in their management teams considerably outperform those where such representation is low. According to McKinsey, if more women joined the labor force, the global potential GDP would increase with 26% by 2030.
