Opera in the Alps

Thursday evening became one of the most awaited events in Davos by connoisseurs of opera and classical music. Famous opera arias in Russian, Italian and German were performed by Russian tenor Sergey Dubroff accompanied by the pianist Oleksandr Yankevich. Sergey is a much sought-after tenor and has given concerts in the US, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Russia to name just a few. Oleksandr is a laureate of various international competitions, as well as a teacher at the Zurich Opera House.
A special Caspian flavor to the Alpine evening was brought by the talented guitarist Rovshan Mamedkuliev, known as the 'guitar poet'. Rovshan performed works of Spanish, Russian and Azerbaijani composers using intricate techniques. The music created an unforgettable atmosphere for the guests on this magical evening.

This evening was supported by VP Bank, Zurich, with a welcome speech of the Head of Private Banking CEE, Thomas Westh Olsen.
